"Intricately drawn, exquisitely rendered chains, braids and ropes evoke a darker medieval era;
but they also symbolically announce the ilk of the works themselves, words and images and
lines woven inseparably together. these drawings are Gordian knots, impossible to unravel. For
the viewer, it's a tight, concentrated, intense study. The eye never rests, looking, reading, looking,
reading, in an endless cycle. There is no way out, only in, over, through and back in again."
